MISSION OF PGDAEM
To Transform the Public Extension Functionaries into Professional Cadre of Farm Advisors.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
1. To enhance the techno-managerial competence of extension functionaries.
2. To acquaint the extension functionaries on the latest developments in the field of agricultural extension
3. To equip the extension functionaries in latest tools and techniques for participatory decision making
4. To develop an insight into various extension models to enrich the agri - value chain

FOR WHOME
1. The Diploma is open for the extension functionaries graduated in agriculture and allied areas and currently employed in the state / central / UT's Govts minimum five years of work experience in the field of agricultural extension. Relaxable in case of deserving cases.
2. Preferable age limit is up to 45 years. However, it is relaxable in exceptional cases.
3. Candidates working in Agri-Business Companies, NGOs, Cooperatives and other private sector are also eligible on self-financing basis.
MISSION OF DAESI
To Transform Input Dealers into para-professionals and enable them to serve the farmers better, thereby strengthening the Agricultural Extension System.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
Orientation on location specific crop production technologies of broad based agriculture and specific package of practices related to field problems. Capacity building of Input dealers in efficient handling of Inputs. To impart the knowledge about the laws governing regulation of Agricultural Inputs. To make them effective source of farm information at village level (one stop shop) for the farmers / farm women.

BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME
Technical capacity and Communication Skills of Input-dealers will be developed so as to impart proper technical advise to the farmers. Increase the awareness of the dealers regarding their regulatory responsibilities. Input dealers with a diploma will act as base level extension worker while serving as Input dealers.
